About the District
The Lake and Peninsula School District serves approximately 450 students across 10 village schools on the Alaska Peninsula. Our district covers an area roughly the size of West Virginia, with schools accessible only by plane or boat.
We are committed to providing quality education that honors our unique cultural context and prepares students for success in a changing world.
Our Communities
The Lake and Peninsula Borough is home to a rich diversity of Alaska Native cultures and traditions. Our schools are at the heart of these communities, serving students from:
